Medium: Oil on stretched canvas

Artist's Comments: I did it!!! I finally discovered the breakthrough in painting a realistic golf course! By accentuating the shadows and highlights I created a dynamic fairway scene that I'm finally happy with. I also took a risk and put in some orange and yellow paint into my green shades which created a nice variation in colors. The golf course turned out to take on a wonderful rolling feeling while the palm trees came out a little more wild with allot of movement. The background was meant to be the mountainside but, as I painted it took on a more sky-like appearance so I went with that concept. Later, the collector of this painting commented that all the great Japanese works balance calm with movement in their works similar to the ying and yang. He said this painting reflected that balance well.
